I know I have not updated this in a while, but I am doing it know, so dont bug me about it. (you know who you are) So, anyways, this last Wednesday Paige and I took a trip to Lake gregory to look at a location for the wedding. It was pretty nice, but not the right spot. I had the brilliant idea to use it as an excuse to go the rest of the way up the mountain to Big Bear. I had not been to Big Bear in about a year, and it had been 5 or 6 since I had made it into La Paw's Inn.

I was a little bit worried, because I was not sure if it would live up to my memories, but it was great. I had also been sick for the week before this, and it was basially my first trip out of the house and I could not taste anything. Luckily, they started off with some chips and salsa that cleared everything up, and I was able to enjoy lunch. It was also still cheap, which is not really important, but it is a good thing.

This is the cabin my Grandfather used to own in Sugarloaf (part of Big Bear). It has changed a lot, in fact, I pretty much drove past it and had to turn around. There never used to be an upstairs window, and there used to be a front porch and a wagon wheel out front. It is a different color, new siding, new front window and the little cover over the front door is new. As I said, it has changed a lot.

This is part of the reason I almost drove passed the cabin, I was busy looking at this monster they put in next door. Last time I was up there, there was just the slab from a cabin that burnt down about 5 years ago. The cabin that used to be there was not quite as big as an out house, so this is a bit different, and does not fit in with the rest of the area at all. If you ask me, this looks more like a track home that got dropped of in the wrong town.

Well, I guess I am done for now, might make it back here sometime this year, but I am not making any promises
