Well, not really a whole lot has happened lately. Paige and I got an apartment, or actually a back house. It is really nice, located in San Antonio Heights. Yes, I know, you have not heard of San Antonio Heights, but don't feel bad, most people have never heard of it. It is a very large town (1.4 square miles) in the foothills of Mt Baldy in San Bernardino County. It is not a huge place but it is a large one bedroom, with plenty of parking, and the neighborhood is amazing. We are only about a block from the hills, with tons of walking and biking trails all around us. I have also gotten a new cell phone (will be here on Tuesday) and it will have a new phone number. So feel free to email me or give me a call before then and I will give you the new number.

I don't really have anything to blog about, but I am bored and have a wifi connection, so I figured why not. I guess the not would be that I have nothing to say, but I am going to ignore that. I am sitting here on stage 46 at CBS Television City "working" on the live broadcast of Grease you're the one that I want. Everything I have done today i could have accomplished by 8am, I was in at 7. Not much longer though, the show should be over in about 20 min, and I should be gone within 45. Guess that is all for now

I do not have a scan of it as of yet, but I have gotten my first photo in the newspaper. It is a shot from an apartment fire in Claremont, and it ran in the Sat edition of the Claremont Courier. I will get a scan of the paper and article on line shortly, probably tomorrow.

Wedding Stuff

Engagement

Well, just a couple of things to update. The first is that we have a little website for the wedding, Right now there is not a whole lot on it, but information will be added over time as we get closer. You can find the page at http://www.theknot.com/ourwedding/CrisMateski&PaigeMoore I have also set up a little photo site at http://picasaweb.google.com/CPMateski. I normally use Flickr for all my online photo needs, but I decided to give Picasa a shot. It all may get moved over to Flickr at some point, but so far this seems to be working so it will probably stay at its current location. I guess that is all I have, but that is 2 posts in 2 days, so that is not too bad.

I know I have not updated this in a while, but I am doing it know, so dont bug me about it. (you know who you are) So, anyways, this last Wednesday Paige and I took a trip to Lake gregory to look at a location for the wedding. It was pretty nice, but not the right spot. I had the brilliant idea to use it as an excuse to go the rest of the way up the mountain to Big Bear. I had not been to Big Bear in about a year, and it had been 5 or 6 since I had made it into La Paw's Inn.

I was a little bit worried, because I was not sure if it would live up to my memories, but it was great. I had also been sick for the week before this, and it was basially my first trip out of the house and I could not taste anything. Luckily, they started off with some chips and salsa that cleared everything up, and I was able to enjoy lunch. It was also still cheap, which is not really important, but it is a good thing.

This is the cabin my Grandfather used to own in Sugarloaf (part of Big Bear). It has changed a lot, in fact, I pretty much drove past it and had to turn around. There never used to be an upstairs window, and there used to be a front porch and a wagon wheel out front. It is a different color, new siding, new front window and the little cover over the front door is new. As I said, it has changed a lot.

This is part of the reason I almost drove passed the cabin, I was busy looking at this monster they put in next door. Last time I was up there, there was just the slab from a cabin that burnt down about 5 years ago. The cabin that used to be there was not quite as big as an out house, so this is a bit different, and does not fit in with the rest of the area at all. If you ask me, this looks more like a track home that got dropped of in the wrong town.

Well, I guess I am done for now, might make it back here sometime this year, but I am not making any promises
