Don't know if I am going to keep this, but I have opened an account
at wordpress to see if I like it better then Blogger. You can find it
at crismateski.wordpress.com For now I am going to just double post
until I decide if I like it or not. Let me know in the comments which format you like better, not that I will pay attention to it or anything.

Ok, just a quick post, just saw the panel for Hamlet 2, looks so bad it will probably be good.

Just a quick song quote "Rock me, Rock me, Rock me sexy Jesus"

Not so Great Comic-Con 2008 coverage (post 4)

Well, we did not make it into the Mythbusters panel last night, we were close, only about 500 people back in the line when the room hit capacity at 1100. So, we decided to go get some dinner. After walking about 7 blocks up 5th from the convention center we found Henrys Pub. I had a ChiPoodle Chicken sandwhitch and garlic fries that was great, and Paige had some kind of buffalo wrap. You could tell they were catering to the con, half of the tvs were on G4 and the other half on Cartoon network. Got done with dinner and went for a walk through the gaslamp about 12 blocks back to the parking structure with the truck, and found that my id badge was gone. So, we turned around and walked the 12 blockes back through the gaslamp, through the store we looked at, and back to the pub, where they did not have the badge. Luckily, we are in today thanks to the help of Arron S with the registration team. He even waived the replacement badge fee, and we talked for a while about how the con had changed and he had the same view I had on the scifi channels waste of realestate on the dealer floor. I almost forgot, there was another issue at the coffee house this morning, their bakery delivery did not come in so no breakfast, luckily they still had coffee, because they make the best Carmel Mochiotto of anywhere I have been, and I may have killed somebody with out my coffee this morning. We are in a panel for a tv show I have never heard of called Always Sunny in Philedelphia. Apparently it is in it's 4th season, but I am still not sure what channel it is on, or when it airs. We were coming here to ballroom 20 for the Harold and Kumar panel at noon and figured there would be a line, well we got here and there was no line, so we went in. in 15 min we will get a short panel on Hamlet 2.

in the lineup today we have Harold and Kumar, Fri the 13th (remake), and then Rogue pictures all back to back in this room, then that is it for panels today. we will head down to the dealer floor, do some last minute shopping, pick up our artwork that we bought the other day, and head over to corvette diner for the traditional after con sunday dinner. Not sure if I will get another post done today, but I do plan to do atleast 1 more con post to kind of some things up

Not so Great Comic-Con 2008 coverage (post 3)

Not so Great Comic-Con 2008 coverage (post 3)

Well, I am tired and the feet are throbbing and that means it is a good con so far. We have finished daytime programming for Saturday, and are sitting outside in line for the myth busters panel. We went to a couple of panels today, and had one we were not able to get in to (Attack of the Show), and it looks like we may not be able to get into this one either. If I had to guess I would say we have a 50 / 50 shot of making it in. Seems like they may have made a bad guess at attendance for both of these panels today. We did make it into the Futurama panel first thing this morning even though we were running a little late. They had the whole cast there and as always, John DiMaggio was Hilarious (voice of Bender). This was followed by the Simpsons Panel. They did not have any of the voices there but had all of the producers, head writer and the two animation leads. They talked about the new ride at Universal Studios, apparently it is all cgi and 3d like the Treehouse episode when homer got lost behind the bookcase. We also made it for the last 3/4 of Quickdraw, it overlaped with the simpsons panel and I was not going to leave simpsons early. Quickdraw is like a comedy sports competition, but instead of acting out in improvised scene, they have comic book illistrators drawing the scenes on over head projectors. It is amazing to see how with no effort and barely any time they can make these drawings. Most of them are less then 30 seconds.

Well I guess that is it for now, and since we are out side in the middle of knowhere, I dont have WiFi and dont know when i will actually post this, but I will worry about that later.

Not so Great Comic-Con 2008 coverage (post 2)

Ok, so first off I need to clarify, it is not the Comic-Con which is not so great, it is the coverage that is not so great. the last post was while I was waiting for the "Big Bang Theory" to begin, and it was well worth the wait. It was probably one of the best panels I have seen at comic con, and definitely the best of the year so far. Since then I have been to the spaced panel which is the British tv show which gave the guys behind "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" their start. It was just released on dvd for the region 1 (North American) market. I had heard of the show but never seen anything from it. I think I am going to go tonight, they will be showing 3 episodes that have been selected by the fans via the website. I just finished the "American Dad" and Family Guy" panels. I did not care about "American Dad" and still dont. I have been starting to watch "Family Guy" reruns, and the panel was ok, but nothing special. The main reason I was there was I wanted to eat lunch, I was getting pretty hungry, and it happened to be in the same room as the panel for "Bones" which I really want to see. That panel should be starting and second, oh, hey, the lights just went off, later...

Not so Great Comic-Con 2008 coverage (post 1)

Well, I am at comic con again this year, and have some time to kill. I am currently sitting in room 6CDEF waiting for the "Big Bang Theory" Panel to begin. I will let you know how it was later if I get around to typing more. Yesterday, I went to two panels. The first was about the new Knight Rider tv series. I was kind of excited about it, but from the clips they showed, I think they will destroy another classic. From what they showed it looks like they are trying to ride the coat tails of another classic and make the new KITT a cross between the original and a Transformer. The other panel I went to was for the movie "Push" and "Twilight" Twilight did not look very good to me, but I think my mom would like it. Looks like it is the vampire version of harry potter, and is based off of a very popular book that I had never heard of. Push looked like it might be a good movie, but the only reason I went was to see Dakota Fanning. I have seen her in interviews and she always seemed so intelligent I wanted to see if it was the same in person, but she got stuck in the accident on the 5 freeway (along with many guests from alot of the panels) and got there after it ended and basically said hi as everyone was walking out.

I will have some photos later, but I dont feel like transfering photos right now, besides I have to conserve battery power.
